È possibile utilizzare le seguenti funzioni per verificare quale versione del pacchetto è caricata in R:

packageVersion(" ggplot2 ")

#display the date when this package version was released
packageDate(" ggplot2 ")

#display description of the package
packageDescription(" ggplot2 ")

Esempio: verificare quale versione del pacchetto è caricata in R

Diciamo di caricare il pacchetto ggplot2 nel nostro attuale ambiente R:

 library (ggplot2)

Possiamo usare la funzione packageVersion() per verificare quale versione di ggplot2 è caricata:

 #display package version
packageVersion(" ggplot2 ")

[1] '3.3.2'

Vediamo che la versione 3.2.2 è caricata.

Per scoprire quando è stata rilasciata questa versione, puoi utilizzare la funzione packageDate() :

 #display the date when this package version was released
packageDate(" ggplot2 ")

[1] "2020-06-17"

Possiamo vedere che questa versione è stata rilasciata il 17 giugno 2020.

E per visualizzare una descrizione del pacchetto, possiamo usare la funzione packageDescription() :
